“Voicing Place: a fusion of objects, voices and words” forms an introduction to and a representation of the interviewees’ voices. The essay is both a creative linking of the combined voices of adoptees in telling parallel stories of their adoption, breaking into one, two or three voices when there is divergence in their personal details. In addition, the essay discusses an overview of my writing practice and is physically embodied as a triptych that includes a 10-minute audio recording.
